Nuneaton Rambling Club

About the Club
Club Logo

The club was formed in 1968 and has maintained a good level of membership since then. The objectives of the club have always remained the same, to ensure local paths are kept open and to provide a wide varied programme of walks for its membership.

We are totally independent and not a Ramblers' Group, but we do hold affiliated club membership of The Ramblers'.

There is a good mixture of walks, currently each Wednesday morning, Saturday afternoons and Sundays. Sundays are usually reserved for all-day walks. The club is very laid back, you can take part in as much or as little of its activities as you wish and not be thought of any the less. The walk grades vary from easy through moderate to, very occasionally, strenuous.

Prior warning is not required if you wish to join a walk, you can just turn up. Initial meeting places are listed in the club programme and in the walks section on this web-site. Some members opt to go directly to the starting point of the walk, although this is not recommended as arrangements may have to be altered at the last minute.

The club is run by a committee which is elected at the annual general meeting held in November or December.
