Meeting Places
 

The club uses several meeting places before travelling to the start of a walk.

Church Street Car Park (NGR: SP364916).

This is the usual meeting place for walks on Sunday, except during the Christmas shopping period when alternative places are used.

This is located in Church Street Nuneaton, opposite Nuneaton Library. There is currently a fixed flat rate fee for parking all day on Sundays. The car park is protected by CCTV.

 

 

The Pingles Car Park (NGR: SP366909).

This is the main meeting place for Wednesday walks and quite a few Saturdays. It is also used on Sundays around Christmas and the New Year.

 

 

Horeston Grange Shops (NGR: SP382924).

This is used for quite a few Saturday walks. The car park is free and is adjacent to Horeston Grange Shops on Camborne Drive, off Eastboro Way.

 

 

Weddington Church Park Church Lane, Weddington, Nuneaton (NGR: SP360935).

This is used at times for Saturday walks as it is out of the town centre.

Church Lane is off Weddington Road (A444), about 1 mile north of the town centre. The Church Car Park at the left end of Church Lane.

 

 

Hartshill Green (NGR: SP325946)

Occasionally used for Saturday and Summer evening walks.

Located in the village of Hartshill, 3 miles north-west of Nuneaton. Care must be taken when parking to avoid residents parking areas. Hartshill Green is also served by a regular bus service from both Nuneaton and Atherstone, every twenty minutes on weekdays and Saturdays during the daytime. Evenings and Sunday service is infrequent and very limited.

 

 

Abbey Green Car Park (NGR: SP357923).

Used very occasionally for Saturday walks.

This is a small free of charge car park located in Abbey Green, just off Midland Road (B4114), Nuneaton, opposite a butchers shop and car service centre. Travelling towards Nuneaton town centre access to the car park is left off Midland Road, 20 yards past the Manor Court Road traffic lights. Access from the town centre side of Midland Road is via Sandon Road, St. Mary's Road and Aston Road.


 

The Oddfellows, Higham-on-the-Hill (NGR: SP380954).

Occasionally used for Saturday and Summer evening walks.

Higham-on-the-Hill is a small village located 3 miles north of Nuneaton.

 

Club Logo

The Round Towers, Stockingford (NGR: SP334910).

Occasionally used for Saturday and Summer evening walks.

These are at the junction of Arbury Road and Church Road, Stockingford, Nuneaton about one and a half miles west of the town centre. Roadside parking only (Church Road - avoiding residents parking).
